The Story
A young couple approaches a local, luxury home builder to create a beautiful, new home for them in Florida for their big move from the West Coast. They hire JASON BALL interior design to work with them to design a home reflective of their love of textures and natural materials. From warm wood tones, natural rattan, cement, and hand-crafted tile, the resulting aesthetic has a beautifully elegant global style. As soon as you step in the front door, you immediately feel as ease surrounded by wood, comfortable furnishings, and an airiness of space. An open staircase borders the main great room, anchored by a Venetian plaster fireplace wall. The design of the adjoining kitchen continues the use of natural materials, with honey-colored wood cabinetry paired with matte white for a clean, contemporary feel. The focus on a global, natural style flows from room to room, including outdoor spaces.
