There is almost nothing more rewarding for an interior designer than taking a crazy out-of-date home and giving it new life and new style. This home is a perfect example of that. The new space is filled with texture and color in perfect proportions. From the moment you enter the home into the two-story tall entry, you understand the intent of the design. An abstract “palm” area rug adds much needed color to the entry and is a perfect introduction to the use of color throughout the rest of the home. Teals and blues bring in the ocean colors indicative of true Florida design. The dining-room-turned-lounge, directly off the bar, provides a more up-to-date use of the dining room. In the kitchen, the use of textures continues with an elegant marble backsplash.
